Levy using brand Bale to attract £20m shirt sponsor for Spurs

The Welshman is the club’s best-paid player on around £110,000 a week, with three more  seasons on his contract. However, such is his form, Tottenham might have to re-negotiate that in the summer to guarantee he stays, though Levy’s strategy is that the club’s wage bill should not exceed 70 per cent of turnover.

Tottenham’s kit suppliers Under Armour, who have entered the boot market, are also keen on Bale becoming their prime client. The US  company are aware Bale has just one more  season left on his adidas endorsement, understood to pay him around £750,000 a year.
