Young Champions of Valparaiso Cheerleading to hold tryouts

Youth Activity Days will be held on Friday for elementary and middle school youth at Creekside Golf Course and Training Center in Valparaiso.

Participants can make the most of their mid-winter school breaks and play golf baseball, putting games, SNAG golf, and other contests — plus enjoy some lunch.

The session for elementary-age students will run from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost for those participants is $20. Middle schoolers are invited to participate in the Three Club Only event with sign-ins at 11:45 a.m. and a noon tee-off. Greens fee and lunch are $10.

On Monday, elementary-age kids can again play golf baseball, putting games, SNAG golf, and other contests plus enjoy lunch for $20. High school-age youth are invited to participate in the Three Club Only event with sign-ins at 11:45 a.m. and a noon tee-off. Greens fee and lunch are $10.

Participants are asked to dress warmly as some of the activities will be outdoors. For more information or to register, call LPGA teaching professional Nancy Bender at 531-7888.
